Meet Lian – Founder of LK9
Lian has over 16 years of professional experience in dog training, handling and behaviour.
She began her career after gaining a National Diploma in Animal Management from Houghall College, before joining the British Army as a Military Dog Handler.
During her service, she worked with protection and detection dogs, completed a tour in Afghanistan, and later progressed into specialist search work with mine detection dogs.
After leaving the Army in 2014, Lian founded LK9 Pet Services, combining her hands-on operational experience with advanced behavioural education. She holds Level 3 and Level 4 Diplomas in Canine Behaviour (with Distinction) and a Level 3 Diploma in Canine Health and Nutrition through the British College of Canine Studies.
In 2019, she was proud to be named a finalist at the English Veterans Awards for Entrepreneur of the Year.
Lian’s mission is simple: to use her knowledge, experience and passion to give every dog the highest standard of care and understanding.
